HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS ARE THE BARCELONA SUITES AT 900 LOUISIANA
(505)255-5566  FOR RESERVATIONS.  ROOMS ARE NOT PAID FOR BY THE PROGRAM, BUT
THEY ARE AT A DISCOUNTED RATE OF $TBA  FOR OUR GROUP, JUST LET THEM KNOW THAT
YOU ARE ENROLLED WITH THE NM PAGEANT SCHOOL GROUP.

EACH DAY, MORNING COFFEE AND LIGHT BREAKFAST SUCH AS FRUIT AND BAGELS
WILL BE SERVED AT 9AM.  LUNCH WILL BE SERVED EACH DAY AT 12 NOON, YOU WILL
HAVE TO LET US KNOW OF ANY ALLERGY OR PROBLEM FOODS IF NECESSARY.

CLASSES START AT 9AM AND WILL CONCLUDE AT 5PM EACH DAY.
IF YOU ARE UNDER THE  AGE OF 18 AND NEED A RIDE, PLEASE SEE ME
DURING REGISTRATION AND WE WILL GET IT WORKED OUT.

ENROLLEES UNDER 10 YEARS OLD ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A GUARDIAN PRESENT

TUESDAY 27


9:00-10:30 am
  • Good Morning and Welcome to New Mexico's Pageant Skill and Prep School
  • Registration in auditorium
  • Sign up for Don Baker's personal appointments if you are interested; $150 rate applies
  • Don meets with clients 10 years of age and up for private interview appointments only.
    All enrollees are involved with his classroom speaking.
    (Don't  pass on this one! It is a great deal that he will be here for us!)
  • Coffee and light breakfast in the classroom


10:30 am - 12:00 noon
  • Meet in classroom for Introductions
  • Opening and Introduction to Don Baker, Interview and Public Speaker Instructor from Houston, Texas
  • Don will speak until lunch


12:00 -1:00 pm LUNCH BREAK


1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
  • Introductions to different pageant programs and their directors
  • Judging and scoring systems
  • Questions and comments

  • Information on completing paperwork
  • Resume and fact sheet


3:00 pm
  • Day concludes, meet at 9am Wednesday in classroom for coffee and light breakfast.



WEDNESDAY 28

  • Don will be in Private Interview appointments for the rest of the afternoon

  • Mock Interviews with the judges from Albuquerque Toastmaster's Club
  • Each contestant will have 15 minutes with the judges total, broken down into:
  • 10 minutes for Interview (mocks will NOT be private, they will be in auditorium for everyone)
  • 5 minutes for Review (please take notes during review)

  • Run through a practice of on-stage introductions with mic
